Just saying...

Anyone up for it?

  1. The whole point of BOYL is here for me : it gives the opportunity to make the games you dream of but could never do on your own. Coming with a fistful of models and playing a small game with a buddy is all fine but BOYL gives the occasion to link BB games into a tournament, to make a siege game, a 'Ahoy', Deathrace or whatever game with the combined efforts and enthusiasm of many players.
If what we see above was to happen it would most likely to be at such an event? I cannot commit this early but this is undoubtedly something I'd very much like to see happen.

    1. It woudl be great to have your enthusiasim and skills on board for this one. I know you don't really do Fantasy so often but perhaps we could have a BFG 2 for 40K the following year...

  2. Hell yes, if we could recreate that then it would be a new zenith in the hobby for me (although they seem to happen each year at BOYL)

  3. HELLLL YEAH! I have Orange Giant and am willing to travel ; )

As we discussed Erny - I think we could make some serious inroads to the minis needed to make this happen and I'm more than happy to help out with scenery.

I'm off now to study that Mothercrushers banner so I can make a faithful reproduction...

  4. Because of my obsession with the above battlescape, I have a giant orange cyclops concocted from a Forgeworld super-size stone troll. He will gladly stroll onto the re-enactment table at BOYL IV. :)

I would love to see a table chocked full of hedgerows, cottages, rivers and bridges... to the point where bottle-necking retinues are forced into reforming and dare I say "snaking" across the battlefield!

    1. Good to have a new friend interested Werekin and one who is good at terrain and has seen big projects through to fruition before. If we go ahead with this and it's looking more and more likely, I'd probably be coordinating on the forum so if you haven't joined it woudl be cool if you did. Not to say we couldn't colaborate outside the forum but it woudl be easier all round to have things central.

  5. What a great idea... re-creating old photos of battles seems like a heap of fun, hope to do the same with some early B and W shots. I would guess those trees are by Britain's and the bridge could be Bellona or Hovels.

    1. Yep the trees are brittains, I've had some in my collectio for about ten years because of this photo. Good callon the bridge, I'll investigate. Oh and can we not tempt you to join us in this endeavour sir? If not good luck with your earlier stuff.
