Sea Elf ship update.

I solved my mast problem a few weeks back but have just got round to cutting and fitting them. Now it may be obvious what they are but not to me so possible round of applause for the first person to guess what they were before being masts.

And that's probably all I have time for. Back to painting sea elves.

    1. Bingo!

      Round of applause.

Chap at my local tip was getting rid of them as I happened to be disposing of my own junk and worrying about the masts. They were two part affairs and probably modratly expensive. I felt a little bad sawing them down to size.

  5. Beat me to it -I was going to say snooker cues.

Good whittling on the end of the bowsprit!

    1. Too late for the applause but have a pat on the back.

The bowspirit is a paint brush handle, I decided a bow ornament didn't look right.

  6. Are they kitchen towel roll holders? Looks great Bruv, can't wait to see it in flesh (so to speak)

    1. Actually, just checked back scale and I'm going to go with the kiddie snooker/pool cue idea.

    1. I should have thought of that, chaep and useful if I forget my lunch. I could make the sails out of ham.

  8. Wicked, just awesome. I can't imagine the fun you blokes are going to have with Warhammer On the High Seas!
With the amount of work you've done it would be a bit of a shame to take away from the aesthetic by mounting your crew on regular slotta bases, please sir, mount them on low gloss clear plastic bases or the smallest washers you can find.
I cannot believe how excited I am for your project!

    1. Thanks 24, I'm going to disappoint you now, slottas it is. Simply because the crew are my marauder sea elves and they are part of my high elf army. I'm basing them up as though on a beech so with a yellowed pine deck they won't look too bad.
